AGENDA
- Starla Kramer (Treasurer SLRC) called the meeting together.
- Starla’s friend Louann Savolt gave the Invocation.
- Starla then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance .
- Starla announced that Andy Biggs had to go back to Washington DC to vote on the spending bill. consequently there would be no governor’s debate between he and Karrin Robson.
- The first speaker, Les Minkus, announced that the CUSD (Chandler School Board) is doing a search for a new Superintendent of Schools. There is an on-line survey that people can fill out to make their thoughts known as to what attributes they think a
Superintendent should have. There are school board meetings regarding this search and thoughts can be expressed at those meetings. It is important what kind of person the board (which presently has more liberal members than conservative ) hires because this will
affect district policies. He urged people to get involved and make their thoughts known. - The next guest speaker was Karrin Robson. Karrin Taylor Robson is a successful Arizona business executive. She is the Founder and President of Arizona Strategies, a land use strategy firm headquartered in Phoenix. Throughout her career in legal and real estate
development, she secured approval for some of the finest master-planned communities and commercial projects. She has served on the boards of numerous community and economic development organizations, including the board of Great Hearts Academies, the
Arizona Board of Regents, Creighton University, and the American Council of Trustees and Alumni. Currently, Karrin serves as a member of the Civic Leaders Group for the Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. She has worked for conservative
organizations as a volunteer, donor, fundraiser, and activist, and serves as the chairwoman of the Arizona PAC, an organization that helped to expand the Republican majorities in both the Arizona House and Senate. She was a 2020 Inductee into the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame. Karrin is a mother of four, a grandmother and the wife of Ed Robson. She talked about being an Arizona native and all the many things she has been involved in with the AZ community. She listed the main things she will be focused on should she become governor: safety, economy and education. She also wants to tackle waste, fraud and abuse in government. After her talk she took
questions from the assembly. second amendment. - The next speaker was Debra Schinke who is running for the AZ House of Representatives. Her website is https://electdebra.com/campaign-issues Her main emphasis was on : faith, family, small businesses, border security, law enforcement, and school choice.
- The next speaker was Janet Weninger. She is running for the AZ State House of Representatives. Her website is https://www.janetweninger.com/ Her focus is on: border security, protecting children and strengthening families, empowering parents, economic development and entrepreneurship, fiscal responsibility and government accountability, and defending faith, freedom, and Arizona rights.
- There will be no regular meeting of the SLRC in December due to the annual Christmas Dinner Dance. The event is “sold out”. 240 tickets were sold. The next meeting of the SLRC will be January 14, 2026. Speakers will be announced later via email. If you want
